Pedro Álvarez, CEO and co-founder of the investment fund specializing in the Agritech, Foodtech, and Nutrition sectors, had the opportunity to visit CBGP’s state-of-the-art facilities and gain first-hand insight into its technological innovation initiative, CBGP-SOLUTIONS.

Last week, representatives from the CBGP met with Pedro Álvarez, CEO and co-founder of Ivoro Ventures, to explore common interests in developing innovative technologies for sustainable agriculture. Ivoro Ventures is dedicated to identifying early-stage emerging technologies and supporting their development and transfer to the Agritech, Foodtech, and Nutrition sectors. To achieve this goal, Ivoro offers various investment and funding tools for the creation of knowledge-based companies (spin-off companies). The CBGP has a long and successful history of innovation and transfer of its research results through the creation of spin-off companies and the licensing of technologies developed at the center for commercial use to companies in the agricultural sector. Pedro Álvarez visited the CBGP's state-of-the-art facilities, including its automated plant phenotyping platform, and had the opportunity to learn about the portfolio of technologies under development at the center, as well as its CBGP-SOLUTIONS innovation program. Both parties agreed on the importance of technological valorization and the need to financially support, in the early stages, projects for the development of new technologies and innovative products derived from excellent research.
