Jose Luis Resuela González, one of the finalists of the UPM Doctoral Symposium 2025 – Thesis in 3 minutes

The goal of the “Thesis in 3 minutes” is to challenge PhD students to explain their research during a time-limited presentation, using simple and approachable language that is capable of reaching the public.

Based on the 3-minute video, the jury selected 15 finalists who presented their research work in the most attractive and captivating way, one of them Jose Luis Resuela González. In the later stage, all the finalists had an opportunity to attend a training session with experts in science communication to train up in the dissemination and diffusion of science.

Jose Luis Resuela pursues his PhD in the Adaptative genetics and quantitative genomics group of the CBGP, led by Dr. Jose Maria Jiménez. His doctoral studies focus on the natural genetic variability in Arabidopsis thaliana, looking for mutations that confer to the plant a greater environmental adaptation to its environment through vitamin E accumulation.
