Last month, students of the Biotechnology Master from Salamanca visited the CBGP. The Center Director, Prof. García-Arenal, welcomed Prof. Dolores Rodríguez and 24 master students. A series of lectures about some of the main research lines conducted in the Center was given by CBGP researchers. To finalize, visitors had the opportunity to visit CBGP facilities.
It is important to mention that since the 2009-10 course, students from this master together with Professor Rodriguez visit every year the CBGP installations and assist to short talks communicated by CBGP researchers, either from the UPM or from INIA. Generally, the visit includes a welcome talk made by Professor Fernando Garcia-Arenal, director of the center, who presents CBGP installations, services and facilities and summarize the general research lines developed in the center. Then, five researchers (different every year) impart talks showing objectives and results from their own investigations. After a brief meal performed in a cafeteria at the campus, the students visit the CBGP installations before coming back to Salamanca. As consequence of these visits, some students from this master are nowadays developing their PhD thesis projects in in different CBGP laboratories.
