Mission and objectives

The mission of the CBGP (UPM-INIA/CSIC) Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC) is to jointly supervise the progress of PhD researchers toward completing their thesis work at the CBGP.

The TAC committee provides advice, support, and counselling to the PhD researchers in the CBGP. The TAC members consult, share their opinions, and propose recommendations in case any contingencies or concerns arise during the activity of PhD researchers at the CBGP. The committee meets regularly and schedules individual interviews with the PhD fellows of the centre. In addition, PhD researchers are more than welcome to contact TAC members at any time to discuss any issues that could potentially hamper the optimal progress of their thesis research.

The CBGP´s TAC is formed by four researchers from the different research areas of the center and is chaired by the Deputy Director of Scientific Programs. The Coordinator of the UPM Doctoral Programme in Biotechnology and Genetic Resources of Plants and Associated Microorganisms, Prof. Isabel Díaz Rodríguez, regularly joins TAC meetings as well, since most CBGP PhD researchers are affiliated to this UPM Doctoral Programme.
