A computational protocol to identify genes involved in cancer evolution and pathogen adaptation
The study of genes that evolve under conditional selection can shed light on the genomic underpinnings of adaptation in a broad diversity of biological systems. Researchers from the CBGP, NCBI, and GeTech developed a computational protocol to compare gene-level selection between two groups of samples, that can be easily run on a personal laptop.
